UHOrchestra Welcomes New Players

The membership of UHorchestra through its many years has maintained a welcoming environment where friendship and enjoyment when playing music together was our goal. You will see from the video we have a great group of players who produce a beautiful sound. We would however love to grow the orchestra by encouraging more BRASS, STRING and PERCUSSION players to swell our numbers. We also welcome players for the others instrument sections.

The UHOrchestra places an emphasis on playing a broad range of styles, Classical to theatre and film, in order that we avail ourselves of the widest possible choice of compositions. Our library has many of the most contemporary and interesting music by well loved modern composers John Williams, Leonard Bernstein, John Barry etc. Yet the library includes classical standards of Vaughan Williams, Rimsky-Korasakov, Shostakovic, Holst and many others. We are spoilt for choice, a privelege we make the most of in our rehearsals and performances.
