U.H.Orchestra are looking forward to our summer concert with excitement and anticipation We have a programme that is packed full of just the best music, and includes Espana Cani to bring a bit of Spanish sunshine, Miss Saigon to bring the far east, Danse Macabre for the sinister and Holst's Jupiter for the just awesome. There is much more from the orchestra and the programme includes our special guests The Rock Choir.

 

The Staffordshire Branch of Rock Choir, conducted by Beverley Mason, will be providing an evening of delightful summer music. They welcome many local singers and perform numerous concerts .  

 

It promises to be a fun evening. The earlier time of 5:00 pm we hope will encourage families to bring their children who we are sure will enjoy the programme.

Smetna's 'Ma Vlast' and John Williams 'Jurassic Park'

Have you fancied playing in an orchestra, or do already play in one but have not had the chance to explore larger works. UHO are hosting this play day to give you a chance to delve into larger musical compositions, with the time and support to master challenges they pose. We are planning to tackle a classical master piece, the very beautiful and spectacular Ma Vlast by Smetna which portrays the beauty of the Czech bohemian landscape and its magnificent river. The contemporary composition we will tackle is the awesome contemporary  'Jurassic Park' by John Williams.

 

This could be the chance you have been looking for; a friendly relaxed and fun day of orchestra and section rehearsals. End the day with a concert for family and friends.
