We have been thrilled to welcome many new members to the UHOrchestra over recent months. Our new members have swelled the ranks of the strings, flute and brass sections. Welcome to you all.

Together we delivered a glittering concert programme. From the first note we struck, we defined the evening, commencing with 'Fanfare on Joy to the World'. This was followed by a blend of the old and traditional sounds from Mozart and Vaughan Williams, and heart warming Sound of Music. Audience participation in singing Christmas Carols was hearty and roof the raising.

Solos on the Flugel Horn and on violin playing displayed their talents of the exceptional musicians. The event was honoured to host The Mayor of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Councillor Robert Betley-Smith and his wife, a true privilege.

Photos show just a few of our exceptional amateur musicians who are from all walks of life that constitute our local community.
